Last year, I submitted my visa application plus other relevant documents on 24th Sep' 09 and got them back on 19th March' 10
since my visa application got rejected because of two reasons:

a) The State Bank of India letter didn't state that the funds held in the fixed deposits held in my name were immediately available.
b) Funds were required to be held for a 28- day period ending no more than 1 month before the date of my application as per published guidance.

I need your guidance cause this time i don't want to make any mistake.
I like to know what the other documents need to submit for showing maintenance and funds like covering letters etc.

Last time I submitted my school/college certificates plus original bank statement, some fixed deposits, affidavit, sanction letter from bank and I scored 30 points for my visa letter and 0 point for maintenance and funds.

There were some issues regarding my fixed deposits cause i didn't submit any letter from bank stating that these FDS can be liquidated or encashed at any time and my account was only 23 day old the time i submitted.
Although i have enough money to cover my living expenses and tuition fees.

Please advice me on this since i'm going to apply this coming may for june intake.

Thanks in advance

Re MBA Visa

Hi Mayr

I suspect you have chosen your University.

One of my friends did an MBA at the University of Leicester from Singapore.

She signed up for I think their distance learning course which is AMBA accredited (Don't waste your time or money doing a non AMBA credited course!)

She was able to get the Visa after doing it for 6 months as she could prove that she was already studying and 'wanted to do it full time' i.e. she was able to complete it in 6 months - i think it was quite a hassle for her but she had a genuine reason which was sympathetically looked at by all concerned!

Hope that helps

KN

Hi,

Thanks alot for your e-mail. I have chosen University of Wales, Cardiff which is considered one of the good universities out there but my concern iswhat sort of covering letters do i need to show to make my application stronger?

Are you doing your MBA from UK?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers
