Employment Letter HSMP JR

Post by PK » Mon Apr 12, 2010 11:02 pm

Hi Guys

I'm on HSMP JR and will apply for ILR soon. I've seen employer letter formats for WP and I'm also aware that employers letter is not compulsary for HSMP as stated by some members of this forum. I'm working as a contrator since last 3 years and the same complany is processing my pays since 3 years. Its not a permant job and the salary is not guaranteed, so I cannot ask my employer to write that "I'm permanently employed" OR "my annual salary is XXX" OR " I'll be need by the company in the future. I work through agencies and get paid only if I work.

I do want a letter from my employer when I apply for my ILR as this seems to be the norm. What sort of letter should I get from my employer. Does any one have format based on HSMP JR.

Any feedback will be helpful.

Thanks

Pks

Just to say the following points:
- confirm that you are employed
- start date employed
- position/job description
- salary -- you can say it is variable and these are your earnings for past three years

No need to say "permanently employed" or end of contract date. You can address it to UKBA address on Set(O) form.

Thanks bani

I'm not sure they will write what my designation is, coz my company only process pay send from the agency. They only know that I'm in the education sector.

Do they need to specify how much they earn. I believe, 4 P60s and last 3 payslips with last 3 months bank statements are more than enough to show that applicant is financially active.

A letter from employer with all details about your job and salary, is always helpful.Obviously if it shows any ' holes' you may not want to hand in such a letter but then be prepared with other documents to prove financial activity.
Best regards
