PGCE teaching course funding

Hi

Can any one advise pls

I am on dependent visa duration 3 years and my wife is on hsmp visa (already have 2 years + 3years).

i am intrested in doing the teaching course, yesterday i called call centre for the teaching course they advised me to contact home office to see if i qualify for the funding.

does any one on this forum knows anything about the funding and would it be considered as the benefit??? as it might affect ILR at the later stages.
