information about study fees for EU family member.

HI. dear members.
any body can tell me that what is the EU law for non-EU citizen as EU family member ? i am third county national and married with EU citizen girl..i want study ...could i get any discount from my University ? or i have to pay tuition fees same like before was paying .as a Foreigner student?

How long have you lived in UK? You have to have lived here free from immigration control for three years for non-international fees.

If you are a family member of EEA national you pay the same fees as UK citizens.I dont think you have to live here three years before you enjoy home status fees. I went to university straight away after I received my resident card and having been here for one and half years.

Not true for my mate at Leeds uni - three years immigration free dead set on it - YMMV if using dodgy colleges tho....

I went to university of london(Queen Mary) this is not bogus college.May be each uni. has its own rules and discretion.

British citizens are expected to pay overseas fees if they have not been resident in the UK for the past 3 years. The individual universities do seem to have some flexibility so its always worth contacting them, but no guarantees and it does seem to be easier if you are doing a less popular course.

Only very few UK learning institutions allow this. Most do not! Three years residence is generally the rule, regardless of being an (non) EEA family member!
