Help! Detective asking Statement. Old college investigation

Hi All,

I need urgent help please. I got a call today from a detective regarding giving a statement about one of the old colleges i studied about 2 yrs back and now this college is under investigation. This college was not running well and i had just applied once for an extension from this college, the next time i realised that the college is not conducting classes and maintaining records and I changed my college. Now I have finished my MBA from University of wales through a college which is an approved sponsorer by the home office paying the full fees and currently iam on visa from this college. I am due to apply for my PSW in a couple of months as iam just getting my 3 months bank statement sorted out. Can anyone please help me and let me know if Iam in trouble or if they are going to send me back. Please Iam really worried.

are you sure it was a detective? i don't think that home office will hire detectives may be someone was joking with you. by the way what college it was?

hi thanks for the responses...detective in the sence it was a police officer as the college is under investigation and they are getting statements from many students and people who worked there to probably make a case.

what college it was? when it was closed down? may be there was some criminal issues that's why police has been involved .

naa.. there wont be any problems since u r no longer associated with that college in any way.. Anyways, in case u haven't done any serious crimes, it is upto a person's discretion if he wants to talk to the police or not.. The police cant arrest you in case u dont want to help with an investigation..

hi guys thanks soo much for the all the responses, really appretiate all the valuable feed back...i haven't done any crime..the only thing was that i was a student in that college once upon a time and had got my visa extended from that college and with so many news going around about CCl and the students suffering due to it...i was jus worried that if this college is in the same fate as ccl would it affect me....now iam on a student visa from a reputed college which is licenced sponsorer and its from university of wales and I have completed my MBA and paid the full fees, but iam jus worried as from no where i got this call. The questions they asked me over the phone was:
- Are you aware that that college is under investigation?
- What was your role in the college
- We are contacting many people associated with the college to get a statement from them
- When would it be possible to meet you to get a statement from you and to get phoptocopies of the certificates that you have obtained

Thats all. Has anyone ever had a call like this before?
