Student visa refusal on sept09, Please advice.

Post by bie0509 » Tue Apr 27, 2010 9:12 am

Dear all,

First of all, thanks for spending some time to read this post.

I've applied my student extension visa on Feb 09 under old rules and I've received the refusal letter from UKBA on Sept09.

The reason of the refusal was because UKBA claimed that my college is not bona fide. When I applied on feb 09, my college is recognized and accredited by ISAC and it even on the Tier 4 A rating list when the new rules implemented.

However, the college lose its license few months later and I received the refusal letter right after that.(sept09) I'm entitled to appeal but I choose not to and went back to my own country within 28 days.

Now I'm about to apply for Tier 1 visa, I'm wondering whether would my previous student refusal affect my upcoming visa?

Please advice. Thank you so much in advance!

As long as you 'remember' to mention the previous refusal, if at all you are asked about any visa refusals on your Tier 1 application, then it shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!
