Hi,

What is more common for Tier 1 (General) visa holders? Do they go to UK first and search for a job there, or do they go to UK after getting a job offer?

It depends on one's skills most of them tend to move to UK and than apply for jobs and for employer it is easier to sign up an employee who is currently in country.
