Checklist for Tier-1 docs

Post by buzz_dilli » Thu Apr 29, 2010 5:14 am

Hello folks,

Please can anyone share their comprehensive checklist for a new Tier-1 application. People who have submitted their application fairly recently may have it handy.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the post, Irshad2005.

1. About the university degree certificate, if that is showing up on the Self Assessment tool, i understand that an equivalency letter from NARIC is not required. Is that correct? Also, do you know if the 3-year full-time degree is valid for the purpose of this application? I have seen most people with BE or BTech for which the duration is 4 years so just want to make sure. FYI, my degree is B.Com (Hons.) from Delhi University, total 3 years.

2. So for the maintenance funds, i am providing the 3-month statements AND letter from bank stating that enough funds have been maintained for the 3-month period preceding the applciation. What is the 'balance certificate' .. not familiar with that. Are the 2 that i am supplying not sufficient enough?

Please advise.

Thanks folks!

Hi Irshad,

I guess you submitted all the documents in bold in the above list to prove sufficient maintenance fund. Isn't only 3-months bank statement enough for this purpose? If the bank statement shows the requisite balance throughout the 3-month period, is any other supporting document required?

Well according to me we should also provide a letter from the bank stating that we have maintained that fund for 3 months.
