Original bank statement- do I need any stamps/signatures?

Original bank statement- do I need any stamps/signatures?

This issue was raised in a few other threads, with some contradictory advice being given. So, rather than pursue separate discussion in several threads, I thought it more useful to ask this rather simple question here.

So, if I provide official bank statements, sent monthly to my home address from my bank on its stationary, is this sufficient evidence for the HO? Or do I have to go to my bank and beg for it to stamp and sign my statements?

If somebody says that I should get statements stamped and signed, I would be very appreciative of any references to such rules.

Sorry but can you elaborate when you say YES and NO. I am applying in few days. The guidance notes says if the documents are original then there is no need to get it authorized

No need of sign and stamp if statements are original.

If you need something there is no need for begging. Since it is big corporate, you can give an request. Iam sure they will assist you provided you do a follow up.
