GOT IT....NEW RULES!!

Post by fisher » Sat May 08, 2010 11:32 am

Finally got my passport back. My Time line

Application for Tier 1 General (switching from Tier 2)
Application date sent : 07/04/2010 (premium appointment)

Application received : 09/04/2010 (retained for earnings query so the new date was 09-May as it became a postal case)
Passport returned : 07/05/2010 (Royal Mail tracking)

VISA start date 05 May 2010

This forum is great. Thanks for all the help.

How to get documents back

Post by Devanshi » Mon May 10, 2010 1:23 pm

How did you get the documents back? Did you provide prepaid envelope? I heard from some people that prepaid envelope is required.

no they sent me through recorded delivery (2nd class). they posted on thursday and i got it on saturday. You can include a SD self addressed envelope. I think it helps and you can track by the tracking number whether its in the post else you constantly kill yourself waiting :) :)

i appeared in croydon for in-person appointment. i checked in 1 hour before the appointment but was told that no case worker had any idea about the new rules (since it was on 7th) so my app will be processed in back office by a senior case worker. i waited and waited and finally at 3 pm the case worker said my case cannot be decided on the same day since they want to do further enquiries. my deposits in the bank account were through a payroll service vendor and did not have my employers name. i should have taken a letter from employer that they credit all salaries through the vendor

if you docs are fine then you should get it...best of luck

Thanks for your reply fisher, one more question to ask.
I have taken appointment for my wife as well as dependent but for some reason she wouldn't be able to make it in that case still do i have to cancel the appoitment or can go directly and explain them about my situation, would they consider my application when dependent is not with me ?
