Tier 1 - Mainframe jobs in UK / present scenario

Hello All,

I got my HSMP/Tier1 processed in Feb 2010.

I have about 4.6yrs of experience in Mainframe. I am presently in Mumbai and plan to travel to UK on jUNE first week.

Guys anyone please brief me about the mainframe job market in UK? I have been applying thru all job portals in UK (CWjobs, reed etc) but no reponse till now.

I am aware that there's a lot of struggle for Mainframe Jobs, but its worth giving a try.

Please let me know if anyone has recently started his job struggle in UK.

Unless you want to spend money for nothing, dont think about coming to the UKk in search of a job. If you already have a job in India, stick to it till there are positive signs in the market. Or you will just end up spending your money and looking for an odd job to pay bills ....
