visitor visa for parents refused

Post by lapen123 » Fri May 14, 2010 10:08 pm

Hi all,

I sponsored my parents to come to UK to visit me, my spouse and our 2 yrs old daughter. My parents been to UK once in 2007.
I made sure that all the required docs were submitted witht the applications.

Visa officer refused the visas objecting that my parents do not have sufficient funds available to visit UK.

Visa officer did not mention a sigle word about me (the sponsor).

What options do I have now?

Thank you

Does the refusal letter have a chance for appeal...have been given with the request for appeal? in your application...did you mentioned that you will shoulder of their expenses?

If it was a family visit application, then you have a right of appeal. If it was a General/Tourist Visitor application, then there isw no right of appeal.

You need to explain more details of your familys personal circumstances to get advise as to whether to appeal or reapply again. Remember appeal can take 6 months or so to be sorted out
