Previous Earning -Uplift Ratio for Indian Earnings

Post by anig1234 » Fri May 14, 2010 7:44 am

Hi,

I was in United Kingdom for an assignment from my company from May-2009 to March-2010 .In our company we have an option to get part of our salary at overseas and other part of the salary in India.
During the above period I had opted for major part of salary in UK and rest of the other part of salary in India .

Will i get up- lift ratio for the part of earnings made in India when I was in United Kingdom?

Can any one please confirm my total earnings will be calculated like this.

Total Earnings = Earnings in UK + Earnings in India * uplift ratio

Hi ,

In first place , you will get the uplift ratio for the country where are you present with documents or it's your birth place. so if you are earning in UK you will not get a any uplift ....you have to multiply by 1 .....

The practice of salary transfer to india has been becoming great these days and most of the people are saying they get refused on there TIER1 visa .

so , you cant do the maths as stated .. only UK salary
Thanks

Uplift ratio - see note # 132 from guidance note

Can't apply uplift ratio for any earnings when you were in UK - Note #132 of guidance notes says - The country in which the applicant has physically undertaken the work, rather than his/her nationality, the currency payment is made in or the country in which payment is made, determines the income band against which we will assess the earnings
