No, it is not indeed.

But visa conditions do not restrict the holder to be engaged in low skilled jobs at all.

No one can be deported or visa can be revoked on this condition alone that he/she is engaged in low skilled or even unskilled job/business.

Driving is really skilled job in this country at least better then security jobs. and UK government knows that, I don’t know you guys know or not but having a Minicab licence is not easy, Driver have to pass number of exams plus NVQ and VRQ level three which government introduce this year and they believe that this is not a non skilled or low skilled job.

Keeping in mind the points for extension, if some guys do it as a part time job, they have a solid reason for doing so. As far as the term "highly skilled job" is concerned, at least I am unaware if it is defined in visa guidance, is it? Many famous people sold newspapers too. So I think it depends, cas by case.

I know few people who got their extension on the bases of security job with the combination of restaurant job. Do you think they are highly skilled jobs? you don’t need any skills or education for doing these jobs but to drive a mini cab you need to pass the driving test again(on the top of the normal driving test) plus now it is necessary to pass VRQ and NVQ of level 3.
I am not saying that this is the only job we should do or I am saying this is a very cool job but I am just saying that if UKBA don’t consider this job earning as earning then you can challenge them in court.
