FLR(IED)

Post by Ali_Sch » Sat Mar 04, 2006 4:48 pm

Hi

Please can anyone help me with the following relating to applications. Your earliest response will be much appreciated.

1) My visa is expiring on 15 of May. I want to apply at earliest possible. What would be good time for me to apply. I am confused between 2 months or 5 weeks.

2) Police Registration Certificates – if never requested to register with police, am I right to assume that its not applicable for me.

3) Questions in Form.

Section 1:
Question 4: Your reference
Section 5:
Question 28: Your job title (Is it necessary for HSMP applicant)
Question 29: Your WP, SBS, TWES or HSMP reference number or SAWS work card number
Question 30: Your Home Office reference number (if you have one)
Section 8:
Question 38: Net Pay each month (what should I put my net pay amount as it varies almost each month because of tax and contractual work)

Many Thanks

GUIDANCE NOTES relating to HSMP

Post by Ali_Sch » Sat Mar 04, 2006 4:54 pm

The guidance notes in form further confused me instead of any help. I have bold the area which i cannt understand, please it would be of help if anyone can clarify these.

2. When should I apply?

For SBS, TWES and WP applicants, your employer should have been informed you have been granted approval for an IED, so that you can now apply for further leave to remain. HSMP applicants should have received an approval letter from the HSMP Team, Home Office (What approval). SAWS applicants should have received a work card from their SAWS operator.

We advise you to apply for your further leave to remain as soon as possible following notification that your IED application has been approved (If i had to apply first to IED for applying to further leave to remain) and in any event before your current leave expires. If you apply after six months of the approval of your IED, your IED is no longer valid and your application will be refused. Your employer will also need to re-apply for a new IED for any subsequent application.

For those seeking an extension to an existing IED, you should apply for further leave to remain no sooner than five weeks before your existing leave expires, and within six months of you or your employer receiving confirmation of your approval for an IED. Therefore you need to ensure that your application for IED is applied for within these timescales. Applications received earlier than this may not be able to be considered.
