Will you be travelling alone or with one of your British family members?

If travelling alone and not to join your EU national family members, you have to apply for a Schengen visa and pay the appropriate fee.
If you are dependant on or are a member of the household of one of your EU national family members and you will be joining them in or accompanying them to France, you can apply for a free of charge Schengen visa which will be issued according to Directive 2004/38/EC.

Pot luck.
If lucky you might get a two year multi entry (still subject to 90 days in 180 rule) but if it's a first app u'd be very fortunate to get that.
Worst case would be single entry for duration of booked holiday, or three month multi. 50/50 in those last two I reckon.
My non-EU partner has had two Schengen's both were three month multi's, but she'd already had had a Work Permit in Germany before, I'm sure that helped.

After booking the appointment, we went 10 days later to London, then about 10 more days later we got her passport back with the visa because we paid extra to post it back rather than another trip.
Takes longer in holiday period,
