Any restriction on port of entry

Hi All,

I have a query on my husband's work visa. He has already got his HSMP on 11/12/09 and is valid till 11/12/12. He already went to UK on 06/02/2010 for an official client visit and stayed for a month. He was back to India on 08/03/2010 and is working in the same Indian firm. He will be going back to UK during the month of July from the same firm again.

My query's
1. Can he stay back in India after his first visit for more than 3 months?
2. Are there any restrictions on his stay back in India?
3. Can he go back to UK at any time after his first visit until his HSMP is valid??

If your husband makes repeated short-term trips to UK on his Tier 1 visa, it is quite possible that he may be questioned by the Immigration officers at the landing airport.

Technically, Tier 1 visa is for migrants who wish to live in the UK and work there ... and not meant for "visits" to UK. He may get away with it (short visits) a couple of times, but sooner or later, he may have to face some questions at UK immigration control.

This said, he may enter UK (with the intention to live and work) anytime during the validity of his Tier 1 visa.
