UK NARIC equivalence of Pakistani Degrees

Dear Members,

I have a 4 year BS in Computer Science from KU and a 2 year MBA in Marketing from SZABIST.

PBS Calculator is showing 30 points for each qualification. Why aren't there any extra points for Masters? If I apply to UK NARIC for equivalence, are there any chances that I get more points for my Masters?

Hi Poor,

The PBS calculator is the one maintained by NARIC. Unfortunately you will not be scoring UK equivalence points for your Pakistani Masters Degree.

It depends on NARIC how do they rate the subjects studied, course contents, institute of education etc. for awarding these points. As far as I know none of the Pakistani University Masters Degree will get you UK equivalence of Masters points.

But if you want to waste your money go ahead and take chance with NARIC.

You don’t need to go for a naric, check the point based calculator and when you select your master degree it will ask you that is it after 4 year BS, select that option and then it will give you 35 point. its not true that non of Pak institute master degree is eq to master of UK. I did BS 4 years in computer sciences and then MCS (4+2) and I got 35 points in my initial application and 35 in my extension.
Hope this will help, do mention it in your covering letter as I did but please do keep the margin of 5 points as well because some time you got foolish case workers who just throw their work out of window.

send both your degree to UK NARIC and let see what happen .. please remember .. NARIC letter is final piece of document agency see .... this is the best option i can give you right now .. apply now .. it takes 4 weeks plus to get letter and under such changing rule conditions for TIER1 ,you can not wait and guess.

I think it has something to do with the difference in discipline of my master and bachelors, management and CS respectively
