Work permit to ILR

Hi all,

I am on company sponsored work permit at the moment. In UK since the last 2 years. Afet I finish 5 years can I apply for ILR, if I cant can my company do something for me to get PR here?

Anyone pls help?

1. Company cannot do anything except employ you.
2. As per current Immigration rules, you may apply for ILR after completing 5 years in the UK as a WP/Tier 2 migrant.

Yes, you can apply for ILR, as long as the 5yrs rules does not change..

suppose if the immigration rules changes from july 2011, does it effect from the day who apply for workpermit. or it effects to all who got workpermit couple of years back.

it will depend on whether or not they will impose the legislation retrospectively.
