Once visa got stamped, is there any timeline to apply for entry clearance or one can apply any time for entry clearance till visa is valid? Please share some reference.

Thanks much. Yes you are right. The difference lyes between work permit approval and entry clearance. I am applying from Pakistan. Please see the link below:

Even this is outdated information. Now you apply for tier-1 approval and EC at the same time. If your tier-1 application is approved you will get the EC stamped at the same time.

You will submit your application to a visa application centre and they will forward your application to BHC in your country and if approved they will stamp your passport at the same time.
