Tier1 Income tax returns-Applying as independant contractor

Post by saps » Thu Jun 17, 2010 7:29 pm

I am applying as an independent contractor and will show earnings as a freelancer. I received only part of the total sum before March 15th (about 1,50,000), so I will pay professional tax on it, but the rest was received only last month in May 2010.

I intend to show Bank deposits, Contract agreements with clients and invoices, along with a letter from my accountant showing net and gross income. Also a letter from the accountant stating the total taxable income - which would be the same as the income for which points are claimed.

Has anyone been denied for not giving tax returns if evidence from 2 or more sources has been provided for previous income?

I'd appreciate your replies. Thanks!
