and what does the refrence number begin with, and where is it on the papers that BHC give?

Reference number is found on the receipt which your sister in law has received when she submitted her documents.
Reference number begins with the prefix ISB

my sis in law got the receipt but the ref begins with CN# and her pp number is on the receipt they are the only numbers that are on the reciept.

what else can we check pls advise thanks

Which category she has applied for(i assume settlement)

Well if she applied for a settlement visa and submitted her application at Islamabad VAC then the reference number should be on the receipt starting with ISB prefix,all applicants who apply for the settlement visas receive this receipt when documents are submitted and normally the reference number to track applications submitted in Islamabad start with ISB prefix.
1.Make sure that you check her receipt again,reference MUST BE on the receipt.
2.If its not there then contact the gerry's immediatley and explain.

Well Hang on!!!!!!!!

I thought that she submitted her application and you were asking to track her application but as she submitted her passport for visa stamping after an appeal then i assume that she will receive it very soon with visa stamp and i assume that there is no way to track your passport if you submit it for visa stamping after an appeal,as your application has already been processed and your just waiting for her passport to come back with visa stamp after appeal,she will surely get it back soon okkkkkkkk
Remember the above tracking and ISB prefix reference applies to those people who submit applications and then wait for the decisions.
