Part Time Permanent Work

Post by NiceCareing » Thu Jun 10, 2010 10:41 am

Can any of the senior member of forum please confirm me that

Is there any immigration rules that stop full time student to work (as a an occupational therapist/ physiotherapist/ Radiologist) part time in NHS or private hospital?

I have passed all test and interview for the job but in end Human resources asked me to show them work permit for 16 hours /week permanent job!!

I explained them I am a full time student but they insist that i must have work permit to work in NHS part time (16 hours) permanent post ?

Any one please refer me any UK immigration law which stop student working part time permanent work during full time education which i can show to them?

Isn't it a discrimination to a student ?

Would be grateful to all friends for help!!

Nice

Hi potterbond007

Thanks for your reply. Being senior member I thought you may know but there is 100s of part time temporary jobs (Employers don't have to give you paid holidays, sick pay and other benefits) the jobs (20s or less hours) are ongoing means short extension if employer need they keep extending contract and when ever they don't need they finish contract. These Jobs are Part time temporary Jobs!!!

Part time permanent employers has to give you full paid holidays , sick leave and all other benefits but its long term or no time limit contract!!!

Hope NOW you can differentiate between two !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Kurshedalam

Thanks for your email. from your name "Newbie" appears you are new but before you telling people that NHS right !!!!! have you ever read the Immigration Rules at 245ZW. (C) which states that

"......and provided that the migrant's employment would not fill a permanent full time vacancy"

In above Immigration Rules at 245ZW. (C) or anywhere nothing mention that if the migrant's employment would not fill a permanent full time vacancy then it means clearly that migrant can fill any type of whatsoever part time permanent position!!! There is no where mention that migrant should not allowed to take part time permanent position!!!

You in ur message just passed JUDGMENT like a judge with out any substantiated evidence !!!

That clearly showed that you are really a "NEWBIE".

PLEASE for us all knowledge and information pass Judgment with evidence so people know what is the evidence you talking about !!

Thanks

This place is for exchange of information and advice.. i think that this may not be the best place for u to get advice if u are gonna be all high, haughty and pompous.. Anyways, all the best to u..
