Post by adnanmanzoor » Sun Jun 20, 2010 6:28 pm

Is there any time constraints for IELTS? I took my last IELTS in April 2007 with 7.5 band. Will that be sufficient? I also have TOEFL IBT with 108/120. Please help..

IELTS is valid for 2 years and yours is expired on April 2009. I don't have much knowledge about TOFEL.

But there is no mention of validity of IELTS in TIER -1 ? What is required score for TOEFL?

The score for IELTS or TOEFL are officially recognised only for 2 years. For TOEFL you need 110-120 of the internet based test.

Below is an excerpt from IELTS website.

"Test Report Forms are valid for two years. Copies cannot be sent to candidates but IELTS will forward a Test Report Form to your relevant institution or embassy. Up to five copies will be sent free of charge. Additional copies will incur a small administration charge. Talk to your test centre for further details."

I am an MBA and it was taught in English. The points calculator also takes my degree into account and award points for my degree. What type of document I shall ask from my university that my degree was in English? Will that suffice?

If the points based calculator has awarded points for education and also English language requirement, you only need your original degree certificate. Nothing else is necessary.

Suggest you read the policy guidance thoroughly.
