why such a long wait...

Post by flawless » Sun Jun 20, 2010 10:53 pm

Dear Reader,

I applied for a spouse visa in April, I am married to a neotralised British Citizen, i have given my biometric and also did my interview. Also given all the required documents & they havent asked for more information.. Once i finished my interview, i was told that they will be checking my wife's birth certificate to ensure its authentic and they will get in touch by phone. It has now been 5 weeks and i haven't heard anything.. :( How long will this proccess take? I assumed it would only take a week. I am now waiting here on my own as my wife had to return to England to her job (she has no has no more holidays left as she used them all by visiting me twice)

I have given them my landline and my mobile number, what if they called the landline and i wasen't home, would they try the mobile? (i always keep my mobile on me)

Also, when i log on to the application online, it gives me the option to ''print it'' & nothing else.

Any help is appreciated..

I have also noticed that the application number is no longer recognised under the ''existing applications'' does this mean that they have made a desicion?

Have you tried phoning up and asking ? im sure they will answer that better than we will.

what website have you used for tracking your application and which application centre was it made at ?

we also made a settlement application in april. it is dependant on where you applied. so difficult to tell you an estimate.

just because it is not showing on the tracker does not mean its decided. if its decided you'll get a message saying application is ready for collection.
