Am I allowed to register a company on T2 emp sponsored visa

Post by pswman » Mon Jun 07, 2010 7:10 am

Hi

I got psw visa till September 2011. I will be switching my visa to tier2 employer sponsored visa.

Someone told me that i am allowed to register a company under PSW. My question is if i register a company now will that affect my visa application for "tier2 employer sponsored visa" category. also what will be the status of that company if i get the employer sponsored visa.

My second question is am i allowed to register a company if i have T2 Employer sponsored visa.

please help

thanks

Registering a company is not a problem .... but doing something with that company might well be. That is, it is entirely possible that you might own a company but not be allowed to work for it.

So the purpose of registering a company is?

Hi

thankyou for your reply, i want to register a company and then i will buy goods at wholesale rate and sell them online on a website. it is requirement of warehouse, from where i will buy wholesale goods, to have a company and VAT number.

With your PSW visa I don't think there is a problem. But I wonder whether such activity will still be permitted if you switch to Tier 2.

Are you able to switch to Tier 1 (General)? That would clearly solve the matter.

I am not able to score enough points for Tier 1 General as they have recently changed the criteria, I have asked my employer and he has agreed to give me Tier 2 Employer Sponsored visa.

If i register a company now, or become self employed while I have psw visa status, what will be the effect on my application for employer sponsored visa will the visa officer take that into consideration.

Ownership of the business is not a problem, but working in that business could well be.

But you have a spouse or partner? Their visa will allow unlimited work.
