few queries on tier-1

hello,

I will be applying for tier-1 next month. I have few small questions for which i could not get correct answers yet...

1. I will be applying visa only for me, not for my spouse now. What should i mention in the section - Is your partner accompanying you or joining you later?
2. At VFS bangalore during personal presence, how should i pay the fee ? cash / card / chq?
3. How many days before i should send an email to VFS Bangalore asking for a appointment? can i give 3 continuous days as option?
