Tier 2 Dependent Visa to ILR

Post by fka4tier2 » Mon Jun 28, 2010 10:42 am

Hi All,

I would like to know about the ILR eligiblity as a dependent.

My visa status till now:

I was initally on work permit and was here in UK from September 2008 to May 2009. Since my onsite assignment got over I had to return to India.
In September 2009, I returned to UK on work permit dependent visa which was valid till March 2010 (since my husbands work permit was expiring in March 2010).
In March 2010, I extended my stay as Tier 2 dependent.
My huband qualifies for ILR in February 2011. I would like to know if I will be eligible for ILR as well.

To concise,
  • Sept 2008 to May 2009 ( Work permit)
  • May 2009 to Sept 2009 - in India
  • Sept 2009 to March 2010 ( Work permit Dependent)
  • March 2010 to till date ( Tier 2 dependent)
I want to know if I will be eligible for ILR in February 2011

Thanks in advance.

If your husband is on Tier 2, then you'll be eligible for ILR in Sep 2011 (after completing 2 years in UK as dependent).
