Changing Name to married name. Indian in UK

We've wiped the sweat from our brow, finally tired of hugging each other without pause and realised that after all this we need to change my wifes name to her proper married one.
Any suggestions how to do this? I noticed someone had problems with the system.
Does it need to be sent back to India or can we just send docs to the consulate?
Wifes on FLR and is Indian,
