English Language requirements for dependants

What are the English Language requirements for the dependents for the Tier 1 (General) visa holders? Do they or dependent have to present IELTS etc before they can apply for the dependent visa!!!

I am not referring to any rules...but it is something i heard in rumors...good to find out that it has not been legitimised yet

The rule of appearing for an english exam is not in yet...also the rules are proposed for partners who are planning to marry a UK citizen and settle down in the UK...so nothing for the dependants as of now..good luck!!
