Expense Reimbursement

Post by robinhood » Tue Jul 13, 2010 6:03 pm

Hi all,

If someone is claiming a reimbursement of US$1,200/month in addition to the annual salary of Indian rupees4,50,000/- can they show total income as 1200X12=US$14,400 +INR4,50,000. If yes, what documents would be required to show this expense reimbursement?

Rs.4,50,000 is only giving 15 points, which is not sufficient to get the visa.
Please advise.

thanks.

no you cannot claim reimbursements. Do you get 12*1200 USD's deposited in your local account?

you will need to show evidences for USD's in form of a pay slip or something.

But AFAIK, its a NO

Thanks for your reply. I am trying to get this information for a friend who is on a project in Qatar for an Indian company. I will check with him if this expense reimbursement is shown on his payslips or in the bank statements..Thats unlikely but worth checking..

Do you suggest I speak to VFS Mumbai? do they respond to queries on Tier 1?

Instead write to UKBA public visa inquiry section. I doubt whether VFS mumbai will ans your query.

Before you do anything else, read the Tier 1 (General) policy guidance *carefully*.

Straight answer for ur question is NO.

However, In general terms, any taxable component in ur salary can be projected for earnings section.
By the way, what type of reimbursement is that ??? that too 1200 $'s per month as reimbursement. It is way too much for a middle level job. Check with him if it is a reimbursement or salary / component that was paid monthly as part of his travel, in addition to the salary that was paid locally in India.
