Dependant visa...Plz Suggest

Hi All,

My wife is in student visa in Uk and her visa is valid for more than 12 months.I am going to apply for a dependant visa in next october.

Can I work on that visa while I am in uk.

Please let me know.

A dependent is only allowed to work on the basis of the Tier 4 students and the level of studies he/she is enrolled, also the length of course. Since the new rules in place, dependents are not allowed to work if the student is enrolled for less than 12 months course. Dependants will be prohibited from working if your course of study is below degree level (except for a Foundation Degree course). I hope this information will help you.
