ILR

Post by juliajules1979 » Thu Jul 22, 2010 12:12 pm

Hi

When a person is granted ILE after coming to the UK after living outside the UK for more that four years with their spouse, once they have passed their KOL and are granted ILR (set M) when can they apply for citizenship?

Is it 3 years from the date that they entered the UK or can they apply one year after obtaining ILR?

Many thanks

Currently, if you are the husband, wife or civil partner of a British citizen, then it's three years from the date you initially entered the UK.
