Hi Guys,
I am calling my parents for a visit and they applied on 8th July in India. The status was changed to under process and they got a call from the VFS guys on the 15th of July asking my parents to come in again for fingerprinting whereas only my mom's fingerprinting was done.
The status still says under process at the BHC as of today. Do they re submit after fingerprinting and the process is started afresh. Will the application be delayed for long. Any ideas

Subject line: Tier-1 application delayed
Don't think your parents are coming to UK on Tier-1 visa.
Could be that the biometrics collected initially got corrupted / did not meet the standard, so VFS called them again.
regards

Thanks sushdmehta, I have modified that now. Sorry but I couldnt find the right forum for Visitors Visa.
I can understand that the biometrics collected may have got corrupted or did not meet the standard but that is a mistake by VFS. Does that mean they have to start all over again and take the normal time for the application.
If they only had an issue with the Biometrics shouldnt the case have been decided by now going by the current turn around times and also by the fact that they got back initially in a week.

Anyone been in a similar situation before. Is it going to take longer for them to look at this application simply because it is a backlog or has been delayed.
Thanks

Is it possible that they forgot to send my mom's application or even misplaced it as they only take the fingerprints at the time of application and that is taking time as they are considering it from start.

The application status has now changed to Processed application delivered to blue dart. Seems that the turn around time is surely a week currently.

Patience helps .... panicking unnecessarily doesn't.

I have had an experience with VFS a few years ago, where it took me months after an appeal to get a decision. This is the second time so I had my reasons.
I thought this forum is to help out people who are worried and frustrated. You being a moderator I think we can expect some support and guidance from you rather than stark comments.

The BHC refused the visa application for my parents and sister on the grounds that they will not return to India as I had only given proof of funds and stay here for them in the UK and they did not submit any documents on their part.
I asked them to resubmit the application with their property papers and the rental income they get, also showng that my mom and my sister were dependant on my father for money. This time my mom and dad got the visa but my sister was refused citing the reason that they doubt she will return to the country. She is unmarried, 21 years old and currently studying there.
I thought the home office would consider the application on a family basis as my sister has never lived alone as is the culture in India and is totally dependant on my parents. What can I do to get her a visa
