Tier 1 UK - Previous Earnings - Multiplier

Post by kora » Fri Jul 23, 2010 6:30 am

Hi All,

Need your guidance, I am really confused with the previous earnings multiplier. When my salary was 10Lakh INR in India I was eligible for the
Tier 1 Visa as per the points. But now I am working in singapore and I earn more than what I used to earn in India but still not eligible for Tier1 as the multiplier factor for India and singapore are 5.3 & 1 respectively.

As the average salary in Singapore will be around 5000 SGD (say roughly), I don't think any body would be eligible as per the current multiplier factors.

I heard that the UK is planning to revisit these multiplier factor for the various groups again. But I do not see any such thing happening till now.

Please help me if I my understanding is wrong related to the multiplier factor.

Countries are grouped into bands and earning factors are decided, we at the forum won't be able to help in this matter. May be you should have applied back at India.

Good luck
