Finding a job in Ireland

Post by Alexbelogolski » Sun Mar 26, 2006 6:56 am

Hello. My name is Alex. I am Ukrainian and live in Ukraine. I want to move to Ireland for work in IT field. For this I have education in IT (bachelor of Computer Engineering) and experience (Technical Support/Network Engineer for 5 years). My situation enables me to get Working Visa. But for this I need a job offer from Ireland. I am constantly sending my CVs to all suitable positions. Lots of employers got interest in my qualifications but all of them are afraid to develop procedure of making Working Visa for me. Some dont know what's differnce between WP an WV. Even that I already included explanations about WV (with shortcuts to sites) in my CV :( Some would say "we still need to pay 500 euros for this procedure" (as in WP)?! Anyway I keep trying....(from January 2006) What I want to ask you is: Can I go to Ireland holding Ghest Visa > find a job beeing there (I am sure I would have more chances apllying from Ireland) > and then change my Ghest Visa to Working Visa (through Ukrainian consulate in Dublin) not returning to Ukraine? If I can, what documents should I take with me to Ireland during Ghet Visa? Or give me advices you think are better in my situation. Thanks a lot.
