Assistance/Guidance solicited

Greetings Board Members,

This is my return visit to this informative and interactive board. I used the services 6 months back for my own visa status. I am back today to seek advise/assistance/guidance on a new query.

I got married to my wife who is on Work Permit Visa here (working as registered nurse) for the last 2 years. She has work permit till July 2013. I got married to and came to United Kingdom on Work-permit dependant visa iin May 2010. Thereafter I am working for a UK-based call center here for the last 2 months. I will be coming on to their ship as permanent employee effective August 23rd 2010. I have a rented property here and have registered with National Insurance and have bank account as well.

As me and my wife are living alone here and we are expecting our child in February, I wanted to bring in my mother here on some kind of a visa, so that we have at least one elder with us to guide us as this is going to be our first baby.

Can somebody please advise on the following: -

a. What kind of visa my mother should apply to come here temporarily for a couple of months ??

b. What papers shall she be required from her side to apply for her visa with VFS New Delhi ??

c. What papers shall be required from my side to apply for her visa with VFS New Delhi visa ??

d. How much time would the VFS office take to grant any visa so that she can offer us medical and routine advise that is required for pregnancy ??


c. Would I be required to send her some papers so that she can apply visa in New Delhi VFS office ??

d. My father and younger brother though would be in New Delhi while she would be here ??

e. My wife has a property in her name in New Delhi and is a house-wife.
