I have been monitoring this board for quite some time and always as a guest - but now decided to join and post my successful application experience.
Applied for the Croydon PEO service and was given appointment at 12:45 on Aug 3rd. Arrived around 12:00 and was asked to go inside.
Ground floor - submitted Apps where details were checked asked to go to 1st Floor and pay fees and wait. Was given a number slip
1st Floor - Paid fees £1403.00 for 2 Adults 1 Child and waited around 2 hour before my number was called. PEO was running behind schedule.
At the counter was asked to handover form, passport, 3 months payslip, 3 months bank statement, employment letter, and P60 for the year. My employment letter also certified all the dates I was out of the country.
Total stay outside UK - 263 days and 84 days at a stretch.
No other documents asked for - after 30 minutes of waiting at the counter twiddling thumbs was told all OK - go and wait and will be called for passport to be returned with stamp. No other questions asked or had any conversation at all !!!
Another 45 minutes later was handed passport for myself and family and I left happily.
Other details: Applied on WP(5yrs)
My entry visa was WP arrived in UK on 22nd Aug 2005
2 dependents
Spouse WP dependent visa arrived Jan 2006
Child born in UK.
Documents submitted:
Passport, SET(O) Form, 3 Mths Payslip, 3 Mths Bank Stmt, P60 for all 5 yrs, Absentees letter from Employer (This letter showed all Absentee dates from UK for business trips). Another Employee ref letter stating my need to be granted ILR as my services are needed in the UK.
I prepared another spreadsheet stating all my absentees official/personal. This is something good to have as it becomes easier for case worker to compare with the Immigration History.
Had carried various docs but none asked for:
Payslips for 6 mnths, Bank Statement last 6 mnths , Birth Certificates, Marraige certificate.
One thing to note: I had been in the UK for 1 yr on the same WP between Oct 2003 and Nov 2004 and then had gone back home for personal reasons before coming back in Aug 05. I was asked by the case worked why did I wait till 2010. I explained her the fact that there was around 8 mnths gap which was taken as a surprise by the case worker. Not sure what the indication was - may be could have applied earlier???
Anyways, its all done now. So now the waiting game begins for the next stage....
Good luck everyone and thanks for all the help and tips provided.
