Does main applicant needs to submit marriage certificate?

Hi,

I am applying for my Tier 1 Visa only not for my wife and child for now. As per "vaf9docchecklist.pdf" document, I need to submit my marriage certificate but nobody on this forum has mentioned it in the submitted documents while this checklist is quite old (july 2008). I just want to confirm is this really needed?

NO NEED to submit marraige certificate and child birth certifcates but u need to mention about all yr dependents in application.
