Speeding Fine lead to Visa Rejection?

Post by Sp33118 » Sat Aug 07, 2010 9:45 pm

Hi,

I have been told that a UK spouse settlement visa can be rejected if the applicant is caught speeding, by a speed camera, during the time that his/her application is in process. Is this true?

My understanding is that if you get the points via a fixed penalty notice then it is not treated as a criminal conviction.
Minors motoring offenc (ignoring signs, speeding, etc) do not carry a criminal record.

Speeding ticket is not a conviction but dont hide in yours application form.

If you hide then Yes you can be refused and accused of deception.

What if it happens if the application has already been submitted? and then the speeding fine was issued?

Can this be a basis for refusing the visa?
