can my wife work as a doctor on hsmp dependent visa

Post by zikram » Thu Mar 30, 2006 7:32 pm

I am on an HSMP visa and my wife is here as a dependent. Can my spouse continue to work here as a doctor or do the new immigration rules state that she can no longer do so without changing her visa status?

As the holder of a dependent visa to a HSMP holder your wife can do any work that she is legally able to do. As you say "continue to work here as a doctor" it looks like she is on the Medical Register ... and therefore can continue to do that work with her dependent visa.
