ILR 5 year's Clock start date

Hi guys

just wanted confirmation on when i can apply for ILR, does the clock start from the:

- Date the actual work permit was approved
- Date of entry clearance visa issued on passport
- Date of arrival in the UK

if coming to the UK (from abroad) under a visa category that leads to settlement (e.g. - work permit EC).

Sorry just another quick question....if i arrived in UK on 21st Oct 2005 , can i apply on the 24th Sep 2010 for ILR... or should i wait a little longer??

See 28 Days - can apply on 1st day of 28th or it should be less
