Urgent: Pune VFS not accepting Application

Post by puneetdwd » Tue Aug 24, 2010 9:28 am

Hi All,
My wife went today to apply for Tier1 G Depandant visa from Pune but the VFS has not accepted it as her passport is from Ghaziabad (delhi- North Zone). Before applying she asked this from VFS if she can apply from PUne (her Maiden place) they told yes she can. But now when she saw those email they say u can apply at your own risk as the application should go to North Zone where from you have got the passport.

All the bank letters and and the document I sent from Uk are almost 15-20 days old now. What do you guys suggest.
I am really sad now.

thanks for you help.
regards

This is RIDICULOUS....this VFS people are good for nothing ...

So, does that mean if you marry someone from different state, he/she had to apply from that state.

It is ridiculous as you are free to apply from anywhere within India.
The application outcome has absolutely nothing to do with the centre you are applying from.
So, if your wife is living with your family in Pune and have her passport issued in Delhi, doesn't necessarily mean she has to apply from Delhi. She can apply from the centre close to her.

Just press for it and ask VFS people to accept the application.

Thanks
Its other way round my wife got passport after marrige from delhi where my home is. Her maiden home is in Pune, after I come to UK she was alone so went to her Parent home in Pune. I was little suspicious about this that whether she can apply from Pune or not, so asked her to send an email to VFS. The reply was she can apply from pune provided she has some address proof.

It is 2nd time she went and have been told this. first time she took appointment for 16th Aug 2010 that day they verified all document but told her that your photo is digitally altered so there is chance of rejection. (as u knw studios in india clear the image on photshop) she took appointment again got it for today now this is what they come up with. they could have infomed the first day on 16th that she can't apply from Pune. They say as the passport is from Ghazibad (Delhi) the application should go to British Embassy North i.e Delhi. Its just delaying everyday.

Well, in that scenario she will need to apply from the state where all her documents belong.
Look at the step 6 in following link

http://www.vfs-uk-in.com/applying.aspx
Please note: You should normally apply at the VFS visa application centre in, or closest to, the state in which you are documented as being resident. Please contact VFS if you have any doubts as to where to make your application.
