Modification in Rules- Tony blair's speech

Post by KV » Mon Jun 07, 2004 8:22 am

As per the News item today, Britain is going to make all the immigration rules more stricter for non -EU nations (read Asians). Even the quota system might be introduced. I believe that currently they are targetting Working holiday Visas. However, I am not sure whether the same would be later applicable to HSMP as well.

Does anyone have any idea? Also, if quota system is imposed, will it impact the applications that are already in process?

HSMP

Post by dokwal » Wed Jun 09, 2004 2:55 pm

HSMP is not a cake walk scheme

1. documentation ,
2. show fund

3. search job at yr cost and time

4. renewal is with conditions

5. problems of job search etc

after that 4 year wait u will get ilr

this is really good scheme for qualified and technical personal in respective field not a way of making quick money , applicat is risking its money , present job , moral and future plans

a sencere planner will not scrap or amend it

rest it depend on demand supply function

regards

Don't think Tony Blair would give too much credit to the pain of the application process.

The only plus point here is that HSMP has been renewed very recently in Oct 2003 so it should be too early for making any drastic changes or scrapping it altogether. The scheme could not have been such a trivial decision for the govt. Hopefully.

Also dont forget that political exigencies normally over rides wisdom. Election is not far, pressure to join EU is building up and it would not be very strange if blair inititates some kind of action on this...

lets hope though that no revision happens till we all land there:)

govt will come and go manpower issue will be be given first importance , today UK has taken lead over Canada , Australia in solving long term manpower issue
