Spouse visa applicant with some issues

Post by neo15 » Wed Aug 25, 2010 7:19 pm

Hi everyone,
First of all i'd wish that you read this carefully and forgive me if i am being repetitive.
Well i went to the uk for the first time in 2006, i was on a student visa and studied till till late 2007. then as my visa was about to finish in jan 2008 i applied for another extention which i got and stayed till jan 2009. then i met this girl whom i fell in love with and so did she! then as we were getting serious i had to apply for my visa extention, which i did!! but here comes the part where i actted floolishly. i applied for it but as my finances where all over the place, i knew that i wont get an extention, so i went underground and overstayed. then in feb 2010 we decided to get married and in march i came back to india. for my passport bit, i reported it lost and came back on an emergency passport. well somehow i managed to get back without getting the ukba's attention and came back without having to sign anything or give biometrics. after coming to india we got married in march this year. we got the married registered with the courts and also have just recieved my replacement passport.
do you think i can apply for a spouse visa now, without getting declined?
also there is another issue, my wife does'nt have any savings and has just come out of her overdraft! but the good side is that she owns her own house and has a 25,000 pound permanent job with the government. plus both her mother and my father (both of them have savings in access of 7000 pound each) have agreed to be my sponsors as well. can you pls help with my problem......thanks a million in advance
p.s - my wife is a british national since birth. And though i have been a bad boy in past, our marriage is pure and truthfull.

Having overstayed in the UK in the past will have no bearing on your EC application as spouse of British citizen.
