Spouse visa at PEO

Post by gaman » Mon Apr 03, 2006 2:43 pm

Hi again
(My ealier thread was about travel advice so posting this new topic and please merge it with the old thread if necessary.)

I am on a student visa - getting married to my british partner before applying for FLR on spouse visa.

Applying at PEO croydon and I would like to know if my british parner needs to be present with me on the day.

Have most of the documents and finances etc. and been living together for more than 2 years and getting married before applying.

1. Can I apply on my own or do we have to go together? Just because she needs to look after the baby for the day.

2. I will have a marriage certificate, funds and accomodation documents, my graduate diploma certificate from here, and some official mails to show that we have been living together. Is there any thingelse I need to concerntrate on other than these documents? Anyone with similar experience please?

Thanks you all

hi gaman,
Im not sure i understood you correctly but here goes

If you are on a student visa i dont think it will be possible for you to change to a spouse visa even after marriage even if you have been living together for 2 years as in country change of visa is not possible, also you need to apply for a certificate to get married i think, John or Kayalami will surely know

The sponsor does not have to be physically present.
