Spouse visa after marriage from Albania

Post by N8gal » Sat Jul 24, 2010 10:31 am

Hi there,

I`m going to Albania to marry my albanian boyfriend on August 7th and feeling very nervous about the process of getting the visa for him to come back to the uk. He was vouluntarily removed last April and I`ve been to visit him once in the 3 months and miss him terribly!

I want to get all my paper work together to take over so we can apply for the visa asap. Can anyone help me with what I need?
This is what I have so far-

6 months bank statements
6 months phone bills
cv
work contract
letter from boss describing my pay
6 months pay slip
p60
photos
obviously birth certificate, CNI and marriage cert.
flat contract
2 letters from friends confirming our relationship

Do I need to get my passport certified?

Has he been banned from entering UK for the next 10 years (as he has been removed)? If he has you will be refused visa but i would suggest appealing it in the UK. With a good solicitor you may be able to succeed!

No ban will apply to a spouse visa application, which is what appears to be in prospect.

He wasn`t banned, he left voluntarily. My main issue is what we need for the application as I want to take it all over with me so we can start the process straight after we get married.

I`ve read that if you overstay your visa in the uk, leave to go back to your country and then get married you will be able to return. So i`m not so worried about that as he didn`t get into trouble with immigration.

Read the guidance form. It will tell you what documents you need.

You will need to prove that your relationship is genuine, provide lots of photos and letters of support and proof of communication such as phone bills. You can also provide valentines day cards, birthday cards to each other etc
