Tier 1 - Main Applicant - Marriage certificate necessary?

Post by neosumit » Sat Sep 04, 2010 11:22 am

Hi All,

I am applying for Tier 1 - General Migrant in next few days.
I would like to know that if I am applying for myself and I have unchecked the option for my spouse visit in the next one year, then do I still need to attach the marriage certificate as proof?

I do not have it as of now and hence this question.

The certificate does not help in claiming any points though. But still is it necessary?
Thanks,
Sumit.

My query is little different -
I am applying for T1 general.
Though, I am married, my wife won't accompany me as dependent.
Her current employer will apply for Intra-company transfer visa.

What should I mark in my application?
Yes or No

I think you should be fine with marking 'No' as even if she does travel she will not be doing so as your dependant.
