PEO online appointment - registration FLR(M)

Post by MWill » Mon Sep 06, 2010 1:28 pm

Before you make an online appointment for a PEO, the applicant has to register their details with the UKBA website.

I was just wondering - in the case of FLR(M) - does the applicant's partner also have to register with the website if they are attending? It says somewhere everyone attending the appointment must register, but I get the impression that's only for dependents to be added to the "family group" - is this right?

Anyone else have experience of this?

The British partner does not need to register. It's only for the applicants.
I tell it like it is.

Thanks!

Any tips on when to search the online system, btw? About three weeks ago on the Monday evening we just looked randomly at it about 8pm, and there were several appointments at all PEOs for the Friday just under 6 weeks away, and a couple fo the Thursday too.

This was too early for us, so we gave it a few weeks - we started looking again last Friday, exactly six weeks before the first day we could attend. At 4pm on Friday they put up loads of bookings, but they were for the Thursday - the day before we could attend. So we thought we'd look yesterday, knowing they put them up on Monday a few weeks back and that they seem to put them up 6 weeks minues one day ... and nothing! All evening, 4pm-10pm, nothing came up. It's very dispiriting, as we really needs this booking and want to avoid a postal application. :(

Just for info - the online booking site updated at around 2.10pm today and we got a slot. So it doesn't look like there's a set pattern for when they update - it's just pot luck. So keep checking all day and every day and you'll eventually get one! Not really that fair on people who work, though ...
