Seems some confusion in calculating the 28 days for AR

Post by vikrant123 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 2:18 pm

To All the senior members of this forum:

I am also waiting for the AR result: I received acklgmnt after 7 days or a week from the date of filing the AR

As its stated on the AR Notice:

***** We will aim to let you have the result of the review within 28 days. If, in exceptional circumstances, we are unable to complete the Administrative Review within the 28 days we will notify you in writing as to when to expect a decision. *****

Does it mean, do they take 28 working days? If we calculate these 28 working days, it comes to 6 weeks from the date of filing the AR.

The caseworkers work 5 working days in week, so 28 days actually comes as 20 working days excluding holidays/weekend.

Has anybody received the result of AR within 4 weeks or 28 days? Or exactly how long does it take to get the result.

Regards,
Vikrant
